still of all remains

Post by sweetwater » May 1st, 2010, 6:06 pm

the world withers in temptation
time blowing in from the east
the morning grows near sending paramount
ideals in the fragrance of men and the silent
whispering details of tears

in the slick and sublime spilling
fissures and moat basking
in the glory of past years weathering
storms and false notions

gathering in the carbon footprint
fossil fuels and gasping for a breath
laying waste to the emptiness that has preoccupied

the sphere and falling silent
in the shadows of some other
living as if each moment contained the next

the wiser still yet the remains of day

This is a very sensual piece. Beautiful, yet eerie all at once with so much melancholy with a whisper of hope, reminiscence, and settlement for the future. Absolutely beautiful.
Rebecca D. Wilson
"And when we return
our voices will be heard,
because we are brave enough to sing
and legends' past will be
smiling."
