moonburn

moonburn

i saw a tyrannosaurus rex in the moonlit clouds--
i saw my own face in the clouds-- i saw
a thousand armies of mosquitos in the moonlit clouds--
i saw the sounds of chirruping frogs & serenading crickets
in the moonlit clouds
i saw tears & incantations in the moonlit clouds
of the night's sky--

the clouds sift the light into fertile furrows
on my brow--

i saw a cosmic jigsaw puzzle in the moonlit clouds--
i saw the man in the moon in the light on the clouds--
i wondered if he was a lady--
i saw the covers turned back in the bed
spread crosst the moonlit clouds--

.

never ceases to amaze me how luna can light up darkness, turn it into a sort of magic, silky sort of zone, hard to describe, and so many seers. sometimes on the rock and sky the clouds are better than landscape, higher, billowing peaks over even the highest peaks, but I digress. that moonlight is hard to describe. dig "chirruping"

it strikes me as somewhat difficult to write abt the moon. it's so easy to hack it up. but, then, sometimes it works out. i think it's the tyrannosaurus that makes it okay.

chirrup seemd the word. it's a fun one.

thanks for reading mnaz & hp. many mercis.
