i'm chanting now
for a better world
things are not what
they seem, i was
reading On The Road
today

Like it was the first time
or like there are infinite
on the roads, but really
like it was maybe the first
reading, or maybe i just
never read it the first time
the first time i read it

or second time, but Jack
had his finger on the pulse
of something, was about
to jump into the next vehicle
like moon size like looking
toward that, i'm chanting

for a better moon, size
seem are not what they
reading on the road, like
i read it once, i say the
words like reading them
infinite or the first time

the road became the book
was always reading that way
like he saw the whole journey
in his mind, reading it that way
for a better way to see it Jack
saw it back before it was write
down, in chant in way in what
it is when it was what it became
while it was becoming before it

especially coming into the final lines, i had switched to reading (chanting?) out loud. beautiful rhythyms and sounds. i've enjoyed reading a couple of your pieces last evening and this morning...really nice.

it is very difficult for me, i mean i have been writing for so long
but so many changes later, the habit comes through,
I go back to that
feeling of jazz or just off the wall.So this piece seems like i'm
not saying anything much, just kinda batting at
the words, by waving my hand.But i really do see how those
first couple of pages of On the Road have that magic that kicks
things into another phase, i just can't imagine where that is
going now, or what poets will be saying down the road.It never
seemed easy to me to speak with that easy going, or the kind
of Beat energy that Jack Kerouac was so flowing with.I just
jumped in there all those many times ago, attempting to get it.
