"how does it feel" BD

It all felt like poetry

I was a kid who needs a funny cigarette
like
a transistor radio held to my ear to hear
the far away sounds called music like ocean
waves crashing on some far shore

and it all felt like poetry was grabbing hold of my mind
like sparkling crackling sounds of dark music deep in
the night, that noise to signal ratio on the Japanese
transistor radio
a voice belting out a language that reverberated between
7up comercials and dead air static like fuzz of the force
that broke the taboo of of having to sound trite
or pop no bubble, except soda ones
how did it feel, how did it feel
to look up at the moon and wonder if it was real real

Hi revrab,

Parts of this feel pretty good to someone who can relate and I imaging feels pretty insightful to someone who can't. It also somehow feels sad...at least to me. As if, after all these years, the N still has no "direction home".

that's what it felt like, and feels like, except everything's buried under digital and some sort of endless, vague cloud.. but that's probably just me. nothing was ever what it seemed, and that's it, pretty much.

You are writing some wonderful poetry here, Rabbit. Keep at it, I see a terrific book. Sue

the poem i put on here i edited most of
it was in the rush and hectic way i write

as far as the novel, i would have to say that
it is written with prose poetry laced through it
and in some places it jumps into chunks of it
it is about the late 60's psychedelic era, and
has some sexual and psychedelics, i mean the
novel is a little On the Road and some Naked Lunch
and it was edited with quick moves. So a person who
would like my book would prolly have a interest
in the late 60's and like wild experimental writing style.
But also it really tells what it was like for some teenagers.

there is a review onhttp://psypressuk.com/

just read the review, Craig. I'm impressed with the reviewer's respectful and appreciative tone. Still haven't read your work, but am looking forward to it.

I can relate.
Also delight in the expression here.
