Thieves. Bandits. Criminals.

Post by joel » September 22nd, 2010, 3:19 pm

Thieves. Bandits. Criminals. They crucified
a rebel – criminal to civil law –
and with him two besides: three lived, three died,
one right, one left, one deicide to awe
and shock the masses with the nudity
of full submission, circumcised, exposed—
they gambled for his clothes when lewdity
was less a thing of nakedness supposed,
exposure having more to do with mind
and heart and gut. But then the diapers came,
when pious eyes asked artist hands to find
a means to make their murdered master tame—
they stole sin’s thief’s indignity to perch
a lesser crime’s offense within his church.

Brother Boanerges, you pick your druthers;
mine is what's left behind; Jesus', the other's.

As I recall LRod is always in the...errr...on the, right :)

(will get back to the poem after a few more readings to try and better understand its intent)
We should not mind if on our ear there fell. Some less of cunning, more of oracle...Thoreau

deicide

that is not a typo

not matter what my spell checker tells me.

I kept reading your reply as decide.

who knows the intent behind the intent

the shadow do?

sorry did not mean to break in on your train of thought bro but you started me wondering about the intent of any poetry. not just joel's.

I am so got dam autistic, all twisted up in my own intentions I just throw up my hands and look to the sky, so mysterious so wonderful.

sorry Joel
