stone free
stone free
waiting
for reality to impinge on me
anesthetized by ample
cocktail fantasy
the dread of this
the doom of that
now safely liquored
in coma bath
pink floyd called it
comfortably numb
a fairytale place really
where nothing can harm you
stone free
is not the absence of rock
it's the contentment
of petrification
that's right, miss mutha-earth
I'll say it again
stone free
is not a rockless existence
it's your blessing
on mummification
for reality to impinge on me
anesthetized by ample
cocktail fantasy
the dread of this
the doom of that
now safely liquored
in coma bath
pink floyd called it
comfortably numb
a fairytale place really
where nothing can harm you
stone free

it's the contentment

that's right, miss mutha-earth

Re: stone free
hey saw! good to see you...
I'm going to read this a few times... It sorta made me high, but then again, not sure what it all means and it sort of implied surgery with the anesthetized phrase. hmmmm...
as always, you're a wordsmith.

"a fairytale place really

This is a place everyone can and must have.
If I were president, I would start a fund for its preservation.
Shades of nirvana here, breezin in and out between the words.
Dig.

There's something about each word here that is really good--that thinks and doesn't dwell in thinking (like finding my address whenever I'm drinking).
But the last half is truly amazing.
And when I read this:
...Since this has now become a journal entry, I'll stop...but thanks.

And when I read this:
I thought the "on" was an "or"--and that was cool too. Petrification: deep theological possibilties to mine. Hm... I was a geo undergrad with a double major in enviro. science...took it on to seminary and switched from contemplating rocks to praying to one. When I build my personal chapel, maybe it will have a rock to contemplate rather than a focal cross...or the scriptures...and maybe it will be interesting to navigate a life in faith centered on a descriptor of life in a nonlife means of being.saw wrote:it's your blessing
