To Dance with Dancer

Lead and I will follow,
wherever you go.
It will be beautiful,
and we shall dance
into tomorrow.
Lead me to the edge
and I will trust,
with my heart
that you will keep
the rhythm
and not let me fall.
Lead me
in the dance of life
and I know that I
will live forever.
And never tire
of the dance
or the dancer.

Ask James; he's the computer guru. If it can be done, he can do it. Don't you love how he seems to be able to just get the job done. Talk about your go to guy. That phrase was invented with James in mind. I am sure of it.

Still trucking, I like your response. I loves happy feets. I loves dancing with the dancer. (Dancer being the poet and the dance is the poetry he writes.)

there is a childlike trust and a grace and a sensuality in this poem.

Thanks again smilegrl.
I wrote this for a poet for whom I have a great deal of respect. And Yes, trust. And as for the sensuality, he writes very sensual poems. I guess I responded to that.

When I read it I thought it was a love poem ... a tender and evocative love poem. Do not, I say, do not disillusion me! Sue
