five pink peonies
petal-shaggy heads tempt eyes
life’s glorious guests

Cinco peonías rosados,
sus despeinadas cabezas tientan a los ojos,
gloriosos huéspedes de la vida.

Nice!

Interesting to count the syllables in Spanish.
Makes me wonder.

Our only peonies are white; now I've seen pink ones, speaking Anglo and Spanish. Fancy finding you here with such pleasure, at the invitation of Doreen. jim

Yes, Studio 8 is a neat place, sort of hippy but profound. Glad you joined, Jim--Doreen invited me when I first went to Algonquin. We may have some repetition, but who cares!

Actually, I prefer the white peonies, but there were only these dark pink guys available. Cost a fortune, but woman does not live by bread alone ... gotta have flowers! Sue♥♥♥
