between island and island

Post by panta rhei » December 10th, 2010, 5:20 pm

between islands:
the silence of winter
as ice caps rock
in low tide drift

and frozen marshes where
the orchids rest:
red moss calm
against cold
blue offerings
of sky.

the shore a quiet
tale of thought and shift
congealed tide
on winterside

and i stand by
and watch the crest

and listen:

there is silence
from island
to island.

i see it unfold
and glisten.

This poem has the drift of water, not pushy or pulling just that gentle drift that the words have and well captured.

it is slow
like winter water
and ice floe flow.

thank you, dadio.

it makes me feel like I am on a boat, lulled by waves in a cove. watching it from the sun-deck at night with the good sleeping bag. It's gentle, and a good read.........Great job panta!
if words could mend the holes in my quilt
night would be lost for my shiver.

I am just glad I have the "good" sleeping-bag.
if words could mend the holes in my quilt
night would be lost for my shiver.

Strange, magnetic expressions here. Have to go back.
