so they can trickle toxic urine
from their benevolent cocks

oh beneficent empire
spread those legs, dowse me
with your loving juices

build me another billion dollar
aircraft carrier, I don't mind
eating cat food, build me
another drone, spray me now
in the face, let me drink
the salty dregs of your contempt

build me another tank, hire me
another mercenary, give us all
a license to kill, we can trade it
for our useless driver's license
will free ourselves of all insurance forever

won't need a car
the sheriff's on his way
my health is past its expiration date
though the kept gas & electric man
apologized when he had to slice my lifeline

america, give me a signing bonus
I'll never see, give me an unholy rifle
it's better than playing video games
better than jerking off to metallica,
just get me out of this house !

Lately I been thinking lately how safe I am
I must be safe because my government spends so much of its revenue on defense

I never read much Bukowski, but I think he would like your poem a lot.

maybe I've always been too pessimistic by nature (probably), but with decades of jobs going away and this "terminal recession," can the assumed consumer-engine of the ongoing global corporate takeover sustain the whole thing? And by what means? going more into big-time debt? hmm.. scathing write here, saw.. we have "representative" government for sure. need to remind ourselves once on awhile what is being represented.
