Ideas
Bombarding
Like particles shot
From a neutron gun.
Exploding
Inspirations
Nightmarish in my
Workaday routine.
Small details
Clogging swirling
Whirlpools of
Mental energy.
Time, sweet time,
Fleeting seconds
That I have traded
For dispassionate
Common sense.
Beyond the Theory of the Leisure Class
Re: Beyond the Theory of the Leisure Class
I can relate to this....I think we all make deals with ourselves to some degree, for a variety of reasons, often influenced by our families or society as a whole
often to make a living working for some soulless corporation, and all the sudden we're old .......and there wasn't all that much free time to really live in that place where we are actually paying attention to our heart
my plan is to make up for lost time.....nice work here

If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
you may end up where you are heading

Re: Beyond the Theory of the Leisure Class
Catchy title
the poem left me wordless
I had to read it two more times till I could reply
Beyond The Pleasure Principle
Camus rolled a rock
And I have heard Kafka had a strange sense of humor
when he was off the clock
dug the poem made me want to write a little ramble to it.

“Where is that man who has forgotten words that I may have a word with him?”
