new year

Post by mnaz » January 1st, 2011, 2:56 am

the rock circled a star again
eternity is a dimension of now
the divine lives within, so what?
no time for that new age hoo-ha
got things to sell, bills to pay
wars to finish, miles to go

got breaths to take
chairs to sit upon
words to express
got a sunup to admire
a raindrop to dodge
a moment to reflect

thanks judih... seems a gift
a few moments upon the now
on the rise and fall of universe
easy to miss its reflection refraction
smacks you in the face other times

and the explosions were prompt
scared the pets again..

bottle rockets mixed with gunfire......a baltimore welcome.....don't sit by the window......" wars to finish" is such a great line for its absurdity ......so perfect as a metaphor for endless violence coupled with the hope of a new year....
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

yeah, used to believe in it. now it's just another interchangeable mile marker. shit, when I run outta gas, others will come up the same beautiful damn road and fight the same beautiful damn wars. so it is written. happy new year!
