To those who are called,
who are beloved in God the Father and kept safe for Jesus Christ:
May mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance.
Beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith;
pray in the Holy Spirit;
keep yourselves in the love of God;
look forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
Jude 1:1b-2, 20-21
------------
The heavens open with a voice that calls
to me and says, I love you, you are mine,
My Child, and I am yours—and I am safe
within its words of mercy, peace and love—
yes, safe enough to build hope thereupon
and safe enough to breathe and pray within
the holy winds that bring that voice to me:
that voice of life that calls abundantly,
that voice of love that’s always ever been
reëchoed in my soul, that voice of dawn
that rises from the dimmest valleys of
my shadows and my death with perfect faith,
that voice who pledges that its sun will shine
eternally—to this my voice responding calls.
who are beloved in God the Father and kept safe for Jesus Christ:
May mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance.
Beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith;
pray in the Holy Spirit;
keep yourselves in the love of God;
look forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
