Oh, you're sorry you hurt me....?

Oh, you're sorry you hurt me

you’re such a coward
you come over here and fuck me

why now
you freely confess to this mess
showered
then left

why can’t you face this
it’s too late to erase it
it’s easier for you to give-up and quit

for too many years
I’ve faced this alone

it wasn’t my fault
on my heart
this assault

for no other reason
than
you’re a loser
a user
an abuser

I sit here alone in agony
for the things you have done to me

you have no remorse
instead you force
on me
your rage
your guilt
embarrassment

you victimize with your lies
womanize
what an ability
hiding from the truth
the agility
dodging responsibility
ignoring reality

I love what you have done here. What a way to narrow in on this, so powerful with such beauty in it.

a rap of painful explanation with touches of rhyme that do not minimize the hurt that is clear......well done
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

face what?
for me this speaks of internal struggle that seems
one sided
perhaps it would be interesting to share a shadow
about what happened?
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

You're The One

Nature gives us shapeless shapes
Clouds and waves and flame
But human expectation
Is that love remains the same
I can see that, well done poem no1

One of my favorite Paul Simon songs .... and CDs. The whole CD is fabulous.

About the poem....
Sorry to hear you've been hurt. We all get hurt. Love is painful. Seems like always. Always has been for me anyway. Pain and joy go hand in hand. Take care!

You're the one
You broke my heart
You made me cry
You're the one
You broke my heart
You made me cry

You're the one
You broke my heart
You made me cry
You're the one

But when I hear it from the other side
It's a completely different song
I'm the one who made you cry
And I'm the one who's wrong
In my dream you spoke to me
And you said

Chorus:

You're the one
You broke my heart
You made me cry
You're the one
You broke my heart
You made me cry
You're the one
You broke my heart
You made me cry
You're the one
Nature gives us shapeless shapes
Clouds and waves and flame
But human expectation
Is that love remains the same
And when it doesn't
We point our fingers
And blame blame blame

I'm still amazed when I discover what some readers take away from reading my work. You can know what you mean to say but you can't know what baggage your reader is bringing with him...

He's right. Deconstructionism. A good poem means different things to different readers, in my opinion.
