I hate you for
Checking the fluids in my car
to make sure it was safe to drive

I hate you for
Turning the lights out
to lower the electricity

I hate you for
Making sure the door was locked before
bed to make sure we'd be unharmed

I hate you for
Setting the coffee the night before
so it was ready for me to go to work

I hate you for
Reading poetry to me in the graveyard
bringing dead poets to life

I hate you for
Touching me with such intensity
my skin burned like fire

Most of all
I HATE YOU FOR
making me
FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU

Then you walk away like I never existed!
