i know you did not mean
to hurt me
at the beverly hills hotel
anywhere i was
you were never really there

when you were just kidding when you took those vows
i just stopped believing you
after that trip to roseberg
before you beat me up
you came back with some ugly ghosts
my eyes wide in the doorway
sadness
blackened i flip
into another frying pan
in the woods
before your friend died
was the last time we loved each other

I think about a bit I read about the marriage of Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes, how the power flowed between them like pouring water from one vessel into another.

This sounds like a gospel hymn...rich voices, deep tones, wide ripples.

actully it is--- the tree- is our big deal- native american style it is where i take my stuff- you get em joel! thanx everybody!

in many ways no one is even slightly prepared, man or woman, to be involved with each other given the harsh experiences we all seem to contend with........our dysfunctional baggage never stays in the closet where we put it........keep writing it down....there is healing in it.....
