It is all changed from light to dark,
The space of beauty forged in the eyes
And like the falling leaves,
Cling to air to a sudden death.
Who it is has none to tell,
The final bell has tolled its tale
And all the dying lovers now depart.
All is changed from day to night,
The moon has come,
Its borrowed brightness all too weak.
And in the shadow of their hearts,
The secret plague has now undone
The saddest link ‘tween man and man.
It Is All Changed.

Stunning!
I repeat.... I want to own your book! Please get yourself published!
Your use of language, images, cadence.... all of it... just rolls off the tongue!
Enjoyed the accompanying illustration, also!
*applause*

Thank you, Doreen.

Re: It Is All Changed.
the poem has excellent meter and sound, nice rhythm...was fond of,
"the final bell has tolled its tale"
"the final bell has tolled its tale"
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
you may end up where you are heading
