put words together sweetly
and in an interesting way
or come at the world obliquely
go stealthy, cheeky, meekly
trash the language expleatly
hey, cover the landscape completely
but please please please, I beg thee
try to have something to say

I donno why but this reminded me of Dorothy Parker (one of my idols). The last two lines anyway....

When new to his hearing dis-ease
the gentleman fell to his knees
as the new friends he made
spoke with hand-jives displayed,
while screamed at them: SIGN! LOUD! ER! PLEASE!
