i know that this journey has made me whole
that desperate place in my heart
seems healed,and filled with soul
i never mention
to anyone
what i feel
when i hear the secrets i knew
i do not feel so blue
not many can say
what is plain as day
to me and my community
nothing like security
wanting such human things
yet all my gifts
came with strings
not so gentle lessons
some of the time

had to find what they said
glad i am not dead
wait until
i know
what is in front of me
need to go and talk to the sea
