inane autobiographical poem using dog metaphor

Post by emel.scott » February 27th, 2011, 8:29 pm

lazy dog’s a worthless mutt
always hungry, sleeps too much
never ever leads the pack
yawns when ordered to attack
goofs on rotts and pits who do
couldn’t really give a shih tzu

cares less how his master feels
‘bout his penchant not to heel
doesn’t like to fetch a stick
or sit when he’s told to sit
(-warning- to the leash that holds him
known to bite the hand that scolds him)

happy in his house out back
scratching fleas, ear-flicking gnats
dreams of lassies all the while
likes to mount them doggie style
show them bitches who’s in charge
hide a bone in their backyard

but...

with no instincts for the chase
or the energy to race
up and down the street in catching
some hot poodle who is fetching

curls in his cozy spot
horny but content to watch
while some schnauzer plugs that socket
lazy licks his own red rocket
We should not mind if on our ear there fell. Some less of cunning, more of oracle...Thoreau

I love it!
Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.
