exceeding realism

Post by joel » March 11th, 2011, 2:55 pm

I love you—and I don’t know who you are—
and isn’t that our curiosity?
But who you are—and even if you don’t
exist—has never been important in
this scheme of being loved by me because
the choice is mine to love—and love is mine
to give—and you are purely passive: the
unnoticed underneath who’s finely free
to either catch or drop the rain divinely
poured by clouds the likes of me. And does
it change the fact that you, my love, have been
adored if you aren’t who you seem? But won’t
you simply then have been defined by me
as love exceeding realism by far?

after the tidal wave scare,
love?
i wonder at the flavor
tears, prayers, begging, for the safety of my families of children and man on the earth, that is love
being so tired i couldnt eat
who am i? there is only this wonderful Creator and the spirits to help us now
i wanted love to look like a cookie cutter life
was bored, made bad choices
i did love
just the wrong ones
perhaps it is no longer my taste
is it ok to change?
who i want to be with you, for you
is not the magic i need
i think
i feel i i i i love
what of the love that comes in a soul that has a bus ticket on the greyhound to anywhere?
and nowhere
would you be there?
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

A ticket on a bus to anywhere
won’t get me any closer to your soul—
but even if I’m going nowhere, there
is still the greater chance I’ll miss my goal
of being here – or there – or somewhere new –
with you. I’m not a vector; I’m a man
and there are things I simply cannot do—
in fact, there seem so very few I can.
I hardly know myself; the mystery
of you is too profound. My faith is weak,
not strong—my flesh is weaker still—and neither
one of us is well enough to seek
to be the other’s savior. But I’ll love
you. Always. Let’s say nothing more thereof.

excellant- i so love the dig with the cannot save each other- i need a teenager with a computer compulsion to show mw how to quote like you do-
but what i got was how we are brought together, if it be thy will, but i felt the painting of the desire to look for satisfaction in being human but knowing you are a man of God,
'flesh weaker still etc"
that will be the structure.the profound, the depth---loved it
