toughen up

Post by creativesoul » March 12th, 2011, 6:23 am

i thought that when the tears were falling
that i was crazy, ashamed, i could not stop-
i do not know how many people died in that earthquake-
my friends that really know me
told me tonite i am clipped from the tv
news, weather reports
any skills i have
at all i used in the past 24 hours
i crashed at 3 today
crying crying crying-the magnitude of what is happening is too large
like blind men and the elephant
i squander what is left of a perception i once had
i wanted more for my children, mother earth, father sky- star nation hear our cry
of everything for a long time
switched to humility
that rain filled with souls
brings me accross many land masses
soaring on the wings of an eagle, blowing whistles,
buffalo medicine all around me
protected directed and loved
toughen up my indian daughter, it is not an easy life...
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

life is tough....amen to that.....which is why we can't be to hard on ourselves......there is no comprehensive how-to manual .....we are all products of our environments.....the good , the bad, the ugly...and we all have to play the hand we were dealt......best of luck sorting it all out.....it's always been a process to me.....we are never in one place very long....peace, csoul.....
