the view from my soapbox is breathtaking
the Mount Everest of philosophy and justice
my head pierces the rare ethers of god, part three
knowledge of good and evil unleashed in tongues

I am the fount of channeled wisdom up there
silky sermons of milk and honey flowing from the mount
or the fiery tornados of Elijah, foretelling catastrophe
I am a prophet, though the competition is heavy

my words are a nice fresh caress of blowing dust
timeless, mindless, aimless deserts, but with soul
truth falls like manna and brimstone, so hard to sort out
worlds hang in the balance, but for an audience

any higher and I might be on the sand
or poking my head into a neighboring universe
but for now I'll climb this peak
I like to hear myself speak....
