And I saw a fellar put
His hand on the side of
The ship and freeze his
Fingers off with the ice,
The sailor guy said at the
Bar, giving Max the eye,
And that was back in the
North Sea, when you could
Sail for weeks and months
And not see a dame, and the
Sailor spoke on in-between
Sips and gulps of his beer,
You ever been to sea feller?
The sailor asked holding his
Glass to one side, ever felt
The waves sway? Max shook
His head, no, he replied, just
The flat earth, the streets, the
Stairs to the dames’ beds; the
Sea’s for fish, sharks, whales,
Ships, and dumb ass sailors,
Max added gazing over his
Glass, not at the sailor fuck,
But at some sweet chick’s ass.

Re: SAILOR SAID. (STRONG LANGUAGE)
as a former very young navy man, I'd say this rings true.....nice work
I'm back on dry land again
opportunity awaits me like a rat in a drain
we're all hunting honey with money to burn
just a short time to show you the tricks that we have learned
from Sweet Painted Lady.....Elton John

If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
you may end up where you are heading
