breathe life into me please
share your breath with me
don’t let me be like this
feeling lifeless
give me life…

give me energy
an electric current
power my being
give my heart a beat
give me life…

give me a transfusion
fill me with life blood
lubricate my machine
give me life…

go through with the lobotomy
take away the ugliness that is me
feed my being
give me emotion
share with me devotion
give me life…

push me, shove me
attach strings to my limbs
choreograph puppetry in me
so long as I have life
give me motion
give me life…

share with me your vision
take away the darkness, the nothingness
give me sight
let me know there is more to see
give me life…

give me a voice
amputate the negative piercing tones
lifeless, pathetic moans
enable speech in me
give me life…

a stark look at the restraints and overbearing aura of feeling lifeless ....i was particularly fond of stanza five, though all were very good at driving the emotions home....( typo in 5...I assume stings should be strings )......what you address can be so challenging in a world with limited examples that motivate one to dance....
enjoyed this.....

Yeah, ditto...enjoyed this. I really like the gentle waves of hope and despair...the question of what makes a living...the indepedence, dependence and codependence that permeate the only life I really know. I really like it.

it's a prayer worth repeating every day...
'sept for the lobotomy, unless it refers to
a mental cleansing...

very nice

Thanx for the kind words, I think at times I begin writing from one perspective then meld them w/another...and not sure if it reads that way and is obvious...any honest feedback is welcomed.
