Braddox had wanted
The bar to himself,
But others have come
And booze along side
With their endless loud
Chatter, smoke and smut
And the pinup babes
Hot naked in the
Paper’s pages in
Stark colours or black
And white. He sips his
Beer and looks across
The glass at the big
Barman about his
Tasks in a silent
Swagger. The beer hangs
About his tongue like
A bad fuck; his head
Slowly swims in the
Afterglow. He half
Listens to talk
Of broads, ballgames, and
TV shows, watches the
Others in the bar
Going about their
Lives, spreading their lies
And boasts, laughing at
Jokes, reminiscing
On past girls and what
They did or didn’t
And where and when with
The usual bits
Added on to make
It sound good, how it
Could have been if the
Good girls would. Braddox
Doesn’t want to go
Home to the empty
Room, the single bed,
The landlady with
A grudge and large bust,
Listening to the small
Radio until
The streetlights fade. He
Remembers his dear
Lady before her
Brain addled, the laughs
They had, the good times,
The trips to L.A,
The drinks, the sex in
Bed or on the beach
Beneath the moon when
Others had fled. He
Drinks alone now, no
Laughs, no sex on the
Beach or bed, no trips
To L.A, just the
Passing, boozing, cold
Moments of the day.

Re: BRADDOX ALONE ( STRONG LANGUAGE)
a road well traveled
across the tables of time,
nodding phony yeses
in the corner of my mind
in the era of old victories
as in the year of the rabbit,
memories run away to hide
into the holes that they inhabit
I think I remember that guy, dadio,
but all I know, is I couldn't be sure
enjoyed it...
