Dear friend

Dear friend, I am
a blend of joyful tears
and can you hear my
smile that tries to
reach to you across
the miles? Such lovely
lovely words for me,
to see them here
undoubtedly has
made it clear our
friendship dear
will never cease
come storm or flood,
and if there is a God
above, I pray I'm granted
years of love to share
when there are gifts
so fine, your poetry
a present, mine,
to treasure in my heart
until, it's full and overflowing
and will come to yours when
you're in pain and when e'er
you'll ever call my name,
I will be there to answer,
yes, for such a lovely gift
I'm blessed. Dear friend,
I am so welcomed by
your gracious presence
as I try my best to thank
you and attest that I am
honored by your heart
so welcoming and full
expressed. Your gracious
gift I do receive and offer
true to you, believe
it so, I bow to gentle
verse and purse my lips
to kiss your brow so
somehow you will know
how I allow your presence
in my life to be a remedy
and free my spirit while
I'm sanctified by joyful
tears which I have cried.
I thank you for your soul
so wide to take me in,
stand by my side and if
you ever need a thing
at all, my friend, just
give a ring and I'll be
on the next plane down
to greet you, arms extended
round your lovely aura!
Gratefully, I thank you
for your melody and so
I harmonize with thee!
a blend of joyful tears
and can you hear my
smile that tries to
reach to you across
the miles? Such lovely
