every body now

sometimes I feel like a song
not a rainbow filled pot of gold Disney song
with magic carpets three wishes and happy endings
but a song hard driven by bass and drums machine gun rhythm
emotion that shreds like Joe Satrionies fingers
on a fine maple fret-board ,a song that drowns hatred
obliterates war with a vengence, of a white hatted gunslinger
a song from a heart thats been trampled by reality
only to grow louder and stronger like iron
forged in the hottest fires
yes sometimes I feel like a song that breaks boundaries
like a loose cannon on a ship
in a class five hurricane a song that echoes through the future
back through the past so I raise my voice in song for better or worse
till my vocal chords are shredded
like lettuce in a taco salad
I lay limp exhausted but satisfied
that though my song may only be heard by me
I did my best and kept my dreams alive like a growing crystal
beautiful and much stronger than it looks
yes I feel like a song today
any one care to sing along

O yes, good poem.

a song that echoes through the future
back through the past so I raise my voice in song for better or worse
till my vocal chords are shredded
like lettuce in a taco salad

( very good lines)

and here again with the song
and a lot going on here or there
echos continuing on
the sounds that vibrate
from some distance off of deeps
yet familiar yet near or far
the poem echos the song
the song echos the poem

the power of music is so alive in this, the driving catharsis of the right combination of instrument and voice...the lyrics that soothe the beastly mood...

we all have our rock anthems that always work.....and the poem is great metaphor for hope, the determination to move forward, aided by letting her rip....

belting, busting it out, disposing the blahs

made me think of how often Robert Plant shredded his voice, only to have it still, to this day, be soulful and unique.....the album he did fairly recently called Raising Sand with Alison Krauss demonstrates the resilience of the inner , and outer, voice
