on second thought, war is the answer

Post by mnaz » May 9th, 2011, 12:02 am

okay, i was wrong
war has always been the answer
and if you can't wrap your head around it
well, then you're weak, you have nothing,
nothing of value to offer this world

okay, i was wrong
war is the answer, we're so close
it is tangled up in our dna, our being
it is who we are, when sent out there
inevitable, as GOD wills it.

our immune system is wired to kill all dangers....guess the hard part for man is determining what is really a threat....

true, steve.

yes, people, we got the bogeyman.

yet our "nation-building" in (energy-resource-strategic) distant lands will go right on. for how many years? yeah, like karzai's regime will be able to keep al qaeda out of afghanistan much better than taliban. from where i sit it would take some degree of long-term u.s. military occupation or attention either way, quite possibly a substantial degree for untold years, if the past 10 years are any indication. never mind that in the meantime al qaeda has transformed itself to a scattered global network, calling into question much of the original reason(s) for war. even a "terror expert" i heard interviewed on radio mentioned this in his analysis, which i found plausible and lucid for the most part, except at the end, when he was listing the reasons for continued warring, and he couldn't come up with much more than, "well, we don't want our national prestige damaged, do we?"...

and so it goes. yeah, hooray for karzai and his gang of uber-corrupt thugs. our fine, hand-picked (former unocal consultant) puppet. yeah, gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling all over. sheesh... we may have "gotten our man," but we're still being lied to, people.
