JOEL & CO.

Post by Sue Littleton » May 17th, 2011, 4:26 am

JOEL & CO.

Yes, it is I. Back again. And no...
I am not in London
pleading for a loan to get me back to Buenos Aires.
I never WAS in London.
One night I left my e-mail open,
mujermaiz@yahoo.com
and the next morning I had lost fifteen years
and hundreds of letters and archives
and my Cyber identity.
My interior life was sucked dry
by a computer vampire.
Gone forever.

I was able to recuperate what was left
of that identity,
even mujermaiz@yahoo.com
functions again.
So please, e-mail me there.
In the shock my Internet personality went schizo
and I am also
poetofthecrystallute@gmail.com
and susyqbid@yahoo.com

I finished my book of haiku,
sent it to the printer.
They say I will soon have the books.
They have been saying that for a considerable
length of time now.

We are going to have to start over,
you and I --and you and you... and I.
I lost addresses, e-mails, all ....
gone, gone, gone.
Damn, I have missed you,
but I have been in limbo, depressed.
Would you believe this strange half-assed poem
is the first I have written
since the special Cyber world that is our world,
went “poof” on me?

Thank you, Judi Pie! I awoke at 4:15 AM and wrote this half asleep-- I had said it all before, but my subconscious went wild and drove me to the computer. Which reminds me, I TOLD my fingers to write "went" and they wrote "when." They do this every now and then, trying to take me over? Can they be getting a life of their own? That is all I need! Hugs, Sue

...and yes, I'm following you. Creepy isn't it. I'm new to this stalking thing, so I may have some questions for you later. For now I'll just peep into your posts...wherever you may post them (bwa-ha-ha-ha...cough, choke...sorry, down the wrong pipe). Big Ass Poem wesley
P.S. Doreen invited me here, so I have permission to stalk your poetry.

Delightfully humourous. Thank you, thank you Sue. I smiled all the way through.
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

...terribly sorry for the headaches and heartaches and grief of your loss. Why is it that cyberloss has pain that's cyberless--pain that lands in embodied reality instead?

I am really excited for your worded wisdom to spread around. You're a gift!
