I've grown
to love people
was cultivated
by my curiosity

I was never
a curmudgeon mind you
people were always okay
but now

I love them
dig their uniqueness
like I dig the idea of snowflakes
offering something fresh

I love them
for their peculiarities
like studying fingerprints high
on some undisclosed foreign aid

this consciousness booster
better than 5 hour energy
or even peyote or brownies
the trick all along was loving myself
