random thoughts can come hard and fast

certainty for some
is an obsession,
even when they really can't be sure

supreme beings
rarely fraternize with mortals
they're afraid their star status might tarnish

skepticism seems a healthy enough diet
I see no real problems admitting
I haven't even the foggiest explanation either

since perhaps my doubts nourish my tolerance,
so many customs, traditions are fine in and of themselves
metaphysics, the unfathomable cosmos doesn't scare me

I've heard some say
don't be late for the J train
it's bound for glory

heard others say
blind faith
is much more than an average power trio

clapton, bruce, baker
carpenter, mason, candlestick maker
all plying their trades with religious-like fervor

spirituality lives in our work
it gives so many of us a handhold on the ledge
unemployment loosens our grip, one finger at a time.

i suppose on a raining nite in the jungle- i have to confess- I see Creator every day- and the others= well they go for healing-truth is- it is already all in the works- i just am glad to have food and a roof over my head-aloha
