tonight I got a situation
tonight I'm writing with

the stars don't shine tonight
and the moon goes for shelter

what would have been & makes widows
of wives in less time than it takes
to say it

gives birth to talk & talk & talk
lee harvey oswald's gun killed every boy
in vietnam
killed bobby
killed king
made nixon president
woke up the arabians & the persians
brought a peanut farmer to the white house
followed by an actor
... and i'm not going to go the way of ginsberg's opus
word after word
page after page
because lee harvey oswald's gun
was made for hunting
and meant to kill millions
the quick way
by blowing open their skulls
so their brains escape all over the backseat
lee harvey oswald's gun gave birth
in less than five seconds
to a new world
a world that is now 48 years old
and counting
seems longer tonight
maybe because I've got a situation
and I'm writing with lee harvey oswald's gun
the one that kills us all at the opening
of the new frontier

when, the night passes so I guess also the danger... Never thought chronology in that way...
