with signals and wires
killer screws loose from sputnik
satellite spies, the hidden eye
they take pictures

fly over gone deserts onscreen
places you went not to be seen
zoom to each flat, mighty mountain
bent bumps on a techno-jigsaw
once more powerful

need the feed
the grid is total
you'll see yourself out there
scrolling on some virtual trail
staring up at the big eye

the big eye sees all...there is nowhere to hide in the electronic age.....your bio is on file and you are being tailed 'round the clock......it's time for the new subterraneans.....to forget about hitting the mattresses.....time to go underground.....ha........good thoughts........

nowhere to hide... indeed. i remember my jaw dropping a bit when i first scrolled and zoomed around the google maps satellite mat a couple years ago. "wow... i had just been out there, and i thought no one was watching!"

and you're right steve... the whole idea/process of "assimilation into the machine" is unnerving...
