hail the monument of lust
kneel beneath the monolith
the swaying serpent tower
hail the anointed hoarders
hail the beneficient raiders !
the holy disciples of greed
and we the people bleed
let it bleed! take the loot
pillage the treasury
jimmy the polls
hail the agglomerated moguls
the holy gospel of high avarice
the messiahs of filthy lucre
and wait for the golden trickle
down, down
down

hail collapsing empire
give us your corndog jesus on a stick
who cares about healing the sick
let them eat radioactive cake
keep em as dumb as they come
and dumber as they go
and we can still have yet another
illegal war, before jesus comes back!!!!

oh triumph of spectacle
empire of illusion, we love
your sexy ads, we plot
our next acquisition
we love your patriotic drip
your skillful slight of hand
yikes, you did it again
and I was watching closely that time
oh empire without an umpire
stealing bases and signs
like the flimsiest of flim flam men
we open our mouths
not to protest, to drink the golden trickle
the golden trickle inspired me, mnaz.........on target

many ways to look at it...
the monolith WILL take over
sell us out to the global economy
ah, the living standards of (former?) empires
they must adjust, find new equilibrium points
in the global free market, let it all play out
no regulation, no protectionism
you will be assimilated
if not for good old-fashioned human greed
nothing would ever get done, the free market
the holy of holies, pure capital nirvana
the final religion, the gods of greed
man's true nature
the new world order is the answer
the swaying towers will feed the world !
no more immoral socialism of government
the triumph of greed is the answer !
ah, but history has a long line of parables
on the folly of greed, bleed the system too dry and ...
nonsense! parables are for godless communists
someone say god?
funny how it all ramped up when church folk
the fine folk who believe in parables of jesus
(and armageddon) became angrily political
carried mammon (bu$h-co.) to high office
twice... yes, interesting times
(the above is not a poem)
