living with a nymphomaniac
is so tedious, the demands
are beyond the boundaries of rigorous
beyond the expectations of romance
they are cruel
unusual
eons elapsed it seems since a young man
went off in search of knowledge, set sail
to engage the universe, and he could never
have imagined that one day
he
would embrace such a fetish
studying in a foreign university
it never occurred to him as he smoked
his camels and blunts, sipping on cheap
but very good red wine debating the merits
of existentialism with gorgeous parisian minds
on the river bank til the sun returned from its sleep
that he would turn out to be one of "them",
he was too young, too idealistic, too full
of himself to dream he might become one
of those robotic men
doing the same thing without feeling
over and over again
