a meddling treehugger
that worries about the planet
i'm just an unpatriotic peacenik
that opposes senseless war and slaughter
a liberal lowlife that's soft on terror
dislikes torture, hell I'm the
fucking anti-christ that supports
a woman's right to choose, I'm
the anti-business do-gooder
that wants to raise the minimum wage
no goddamn it, I want a fucking living wage
so they tell me I'm a naive' leftist,
that fucks it up for everybody.

But I'll be wiser when I'm older, right?
I won't be such a pansy when I've learned
and loved and kissed my children's heads good-night
while Terror funds their deaths with taxes, earned
and stolen from my bank account by thieves
who'd call themselves my neighbors with their needs
for roads and schools and health care— When it grieves
me, when my pain's worth more than all that bleeds
from less deserving, less hard-working hearts,
from less than legal New World immigrants—
when generosity, when grace departs,
you'll number me among the malcontents
