They met
and traced the lines of poetry
into skin

that night
a light shined in the darkness
and the moon
glowed.

Heaven and earth moved
a little closer.

we all craved to be touched by another human...literally and figuratively...it's easy to forget sometimes how powerful the touch of a hand can be....sometimes i'm actually taken aback when someone innocently touches me in their animated speech.....it always surprises me....the significance and importance.... it occurred to me one day that, touch is so very important especially for elderly that end up feeling alone and abandoned.......a simple powerful message in your words, anna
