in a world as insane
as this one is
it's very comforting
almost obscene
to pick up a loaf of bread
on the way home from work
then eating it to be
ready for tomorrow

i'd call it a fringe benefit.

when it comes to fringe benefits
may you take 'em where you find them
& play 'em as they lay

That's why I say, I'd rather eat cake...and not just any cake.
