the number came up
after the test
they say 'get to a doctor'
that depression is real
if they had gone down the anti-depressant road
come up narcotics after losing a fight
called marriage
maybe it isnt as bad as those numbers
no more weed
so tired of this broken glass
all shattered
under my feet
the fight goes on
inside
no place to hide from
worthlessness
remorse
sadness
no place is safe
those pills never fixed anything
it was like lock down with all my issues
melting any reason i had left

when i think maybe it is gone

some token incident will show up
like a homeless vagabond
riding trains with no place to go
my run away child
gone wild
men tried
i left
wondered if i had ever really slept
anywhere but the streets of new orleans
carnival always singing in my head
no fat lady
has ever been able to cleanse this from me
tried God and all kinds of spirituality
love and all the toasters abound
left it all
in the lost and found

so instead i leave my head
to something larger than I
when it is over
i will smell sweet clover
and see the trees above my head

nine plus two equals eleven.

eleven is the first of the master numbers. (22, 33, 44, etc.) it depends on how we see things, n'est-ce pas? is life an optical illusion of separation, a delusion of how we see things, out of sync?

if i had known i still would of loved as id done,
