Burgundy sparkle reflected in her dark eyes
Their lives adrift in this culinary moment
Finding solace in falafel distractions
Slippery words spilled across the table
Stain the empty canvas
Of their virginal encounter
With first impression mirages
Glimmering across the linen table cloth ocean

He sets sail across her cryptic sea
Lost in Sargasso silence
Her face mimes emotions
Reticent gestures ebb into quiet
Of monastic reverie

Her lotus flower blossoms
Secret concealed neath skirt folds
Her furtive felicity
Divulged in devilish smile
Covert operation
Declassified

Judih glad you liked my book previews. And thanks for the poem read. I've been obsessed with books since I was a kid. However, I like paper books as opposed to those e books. And now I've gone on a tangent. My mind does wander.
