Women in Tents

Post by the mingo » January 28th, 2012, 11:09 am

back door to the shed of the world
has a diamond window in it
o the moon is the girl goddess of hunters
of men on small ponies
who have cleared history
with the click of
a button
and cover their machinery
with blue sheets for the day when
it all will begin
to grow again

the six gun world
has its own myth
and the soil it brings
out of which it springs
along with all its targets

the horses neigh
& the riders are all
covered in dust
& the dawn is either grey
or orange
& the years that are gone
can now be populated at will
& every tongue stuck
down every throat

women in tents tend the fires
their daughters watch
what mama does
& mama says a lot of things
but what mama don't talk about
is because the only option
would have to be a lie
from top to bottom
through & through

wild animals circle the camp
but they can't get in
if mama don't tell no lie
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Is it for me...
mine and mine.
All the pops, the orange, the dust, fire and the wild animals.
I hope I'm not doing it all wrong and gonna muss her ups.

I woke up today thinking about how I'm going to go look at all of your dreams and try to gain a clarity of your true self. I guess we were having a similarity of thoughts. :P

This one picked up a lot of threads from all over - none of it overly specific but if you want it to be yours & yours it can be 'cause you're in there. If you find my true self let me know. I don't think I ever had one to tell ya the truth and after my bout with mind-expanders way back down the trail I became seriously suspicious of the whole idea. Came to the conclusion it was some kind of gimmick to keep ya occupied and away from more important things. Like life. 8)

What are you trying to tell me, is it that I focus on unimportant things and not what is mattering most?

What? Good God, NO ! When the hell have I ever said in seriousness that what you were interested in from one moment to the next was unimportant or not?
I'm gonna throw a snowball at you ! I owe you one anyway 8)

I'm gonna jump you right into a snow pile. I hope it all dumps on your head and I'll be the only warm thing you'll know in that moment. Ha!
