Scarred me
Recently,
months later
I revisited the wound in my soul
I tried to heal it with your loving
And ultimate truth
But it didn't happen
Scarred me
So that I have another wound
Much deeper than the first

Fighter's steppin' into the ring again, huh? Keep throwing poetic punches. Defend your face. Guard your guts. Spill the blood that gets you out safely--yours or your opponent's; spill it with verses of your strength and hope and life and love.
