never mind morality, where has civility gone?

Yes.

I'll wear her mask, march in a 'V' formation,
I'll wear a t-shirt that says: I'm Sandra Fluke,
I'm standing up,
I demand to be recognized and counted, someone's
mother, sister, daughter, aunt, lover or wife,
I am not an object of your
marginalization or trivialization.

With Catholic Bishops and the Moral Majority who wait
in the wings with stones and slings,
can the American Taliban be far behind?

The dog puked on our bed, she got into a box of chocolates
Forest Gump left on the dining room table last night,
I would too, except
I haven't eaten breakfast for all the force-fed
indigestion my body has had at the hands
of men with big guns and bigger wads of money.

(Why are Viagra and Vasectomies covered
for those who talk with their dumbsticks or
wear dresses in public?)

Forest smiles at all the absurdity,
reaches into his box of chocolates,
hands me one,
and I wonder why it rains on Thursday morning.

Did you see the flick "V for Vendetta", Terry? If not, there would be some aspects missed in this poem. http://www.masslive.com/entertainment/i ... es_sy.html

Thanks for reading, Terry.
