crushed by the waves

I was crushed by the waves of your fingers
drumming my temples of forgotten hallways
the ancient tongues spoke a forbidden music
you were playing the keys of your typewriter
in the deep hours of abandon to free style
the walls of the shabby room became transparent
the moon outside revealed its lost dimensions
there were fish swimming through the open walls
we sat for ages in the old stuffed chair and read
Baudelaire, to the cats that roamed at will
the ocean outside got up and walked toward Atlantis
we turned the pages like great sheets of darkness
looking for the words hidden in the language of Gods
the night was all around us like the beginning of the end
of night, as soon the stars showed their wild hair
and Baudelaire nodded deeper into the opium trance
the city of light was one vast somnambulist street walker
soon poetry was covering everything in our sight
it covered the ceiling that zoomed away and made
love to the torn dress of the quietly crying sky
drumming my temples of forgotten hallways
the ancient tongues spoke a forbidden music
you were playing the keys of your typewriter
in the deep hours of abandon to free style
the walls of the shabby room became transparent
the moon outside revealed its lost dimensions
there were fish swimming through the open walls
we sat for ages in the old stuffed chair and read
