feel like i've fallen
down the well of time.
maybe it's a copper mine.

you know you're really
losin' the battle
'gainst depression
when e'en Mingus don't
cheer you up.

lifting spirits ain't
as easy as lifting
a
glass.

I'll drink to that.

another drink from the well of time
to drown out the beat of the drum of time

everything is metaphor
I guess.

only thing cheers me up these days is sunshine, shiner bok and tea.
and poetry when I can't get nothing else
