the fish ring

Post by revolutionrabbit » March 18th, 2012, 3:48 am

the world is a nut
fishes through his nose
the metaphysical nod
the nutcracker is god
is a maze in a museum
a muse in a labyrinth of leaves
in the darkest alley, I hear you call
where the veil pulls away---
some antediluvian tongue
spoke before the deluge of sin
shape was in
our deepest thought
the oldest confession
fatima!, you make me moan
your art is old, fatima
but you make it bold
as love...
a dusty passage down age
the eternal moment lasts
they keep pushing back the pasts
the poem is a intricate flower
made of words, that still
are finding new ways
to say themselves---even so!
the philosopher kings
rode by the pillars of lasting might

they say the great pyramid
is not really a tomb
there is a secret room
inside the hidden light

just what is written in the sand
that was left there by some unseen hand
her fingers had a ring on every one
if the universe is filled with infinite energy
then why do civilizations rise and fall
through it all

Fatima!, I hear you call through the snake ring
