sadbox way

Post by the mingo » April 17th, 2012, 1:06 pm

dipsy-doodle weather brains -
names are a bother but a necessity from time to time
somebody always ready to talk to someone 'bout something

i don't give a damn 'bout meaning
or communication
waste of time for someone like me
i just play with words
sandbox way

manifestos? poems?
you've got to be kidding me

i got a dog
he don't pay no attention to snakes either
if one surprises him he might sniff it but
he's got better things to do
but if the snake pushes it
he grabs the snake by the spine and whips it back & forth 'til it's neck snaps
then drops it and leaves it
to a life it can no longer live

does the snake deserve that? sure.
sandbox way
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

deserve... mmm well i dunno- snakes have that kind of creep up behind you thing-
i wonder about 'deserving' sometimes=when i look around and see the abundnce of many- and all the words wont fix it- but being a poet is like being a drunk- there are never enough words to describe the incandescent lighting of spiritual clarity-never enough words------ on the days when i am blessed, lucky is in syncroncity=
those other days are pieces of paper in emily posts pocket-a bell jar in sylvia plaths ------- memories of love-the blonde in marilyn monroe s hair------the wind blowing her dress above the subway
sandbox mind with toys
all the kids wild in the box shovels and buckets
mothers in the benches with prams
that sugar smell only a baby can make
that sandbox has so many small little grains of sand

reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
