the whole crew
took over what once was beautiful

with all those things -
that should have been gone long ago
perpetauated greed and judgement
they thought
that meant i had to die along side you
i followed what i felt would save my kids
and it worked

i loved you
but i got tired of that nasty energy you brought home

after you died
so much was left unsaid
i couldnt understand
what had taken you
so far away
from the places we used to say
i love you
so i kicked you to the curb after 17 treatment centers
my record isnt prefect
but i was never a mean woman
you didnt know what i knew

find the quiet place inside of you
you had a heart of gold

The need (in good writers) to confess the truth about themselves and their take on the world. You have that "own" style of confessing and that brings the reader in.
