yesterday's thoughts

as a shadow of a cloud endeavors not to know the sun,
and the rainbows have never aspired to greet the night,
any matters of the fact does not create its own dismay,
or engage with discontent, however slender... or slight~
when the river conveys the mountain down to the sea,
and carves the valley with no persuasion to... comply,
it does not grow weary of its long and arduous labor,
or reckon a sense of purpose that may perhaps apply~
another party to the opinion may assign some meaning,
maybe a feeling... a wary emotion, or an artful thought,
caught in between what it is, and what it can never be,
when it's in the seekng itself, that yields what is sought~
but the faces of nature that exist beyond these wonders,
surely surround us, as they reflect our own perception,
with symptoms of expression that mirror the life of acts,
and hinge upon the level of our reality... or its reception~
forever, is a circle that can not discern shape from form,
or take issues of discretion, reserved for the willful mind,
yet neither can disguse their functions, without the other,
nor deny the identity of that which binds them... in kind~
like begets like, and so it has been without interruption,
purpose, in its perpetual motion, as it shall ultimately be,
so too, life begets life, uncompromised by any shy notion,
ever spinning the universal ocean... ever alive and free~
